Do you have a slogan, ideas or campaign to get library users participation?

I just found out today about the budget cuts, and that the Lewis and Clark LibarySystem was in danger. My children and I go to the libary in Troy Illinois every Saturday, and through out the week when books we have ordered come in and if they have family night programs. This week alone I have been to the Libary in Troy and Glen Carbon three times. My 8 year old son and 7 year old daughter have both learned how to order books on the computer and are very proud of themselves. Both of them have been going to the libary all of their lives and look forward to programs and ordering books by authors they like. I have three children (oldest in High School) and they are ALL excellerated readers. I would plead with you to give the libaries the funding they so very much deserve! Is’nt life hard enough today, stop picking on the libaries, and give them the funding they are due.
PS. I go to Troy, Glen Carbon, and Edwardsville libaries for family events, and the are always packed, the libary is a place to learn and spend quality family time, why are you trying to take that away?
Sincerely,
Heather Herndon
