Scaring Up Support

Jim Dinnerville, Reference Librarian at the Blue Island Public Library in Blue Island, IL, found the notion of Illinois libraries losing their funding so scary that he recruited some seasonal friends to bring attention to the point:

This is a great example of a way to get the word out that libraries need the public’s support! Well done, Jim and Blue Island Public Library!

What makes this campaign worth fighting is the people of Illinois who are affected by the loss in funding to their libraries, so we want to say thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you to each and every one of you who have shown your support for this cause.

We’re so excited to hit this magic number, we won’t even use it as an excuse to ask you to send a letter to your legislator!
